Sky have today changed the channel package line up.

If you do nothing your subscription will increase from today, but by removing channels you don't watch you can reduce it.

The Family Pack has now been split into 6 "Mixes". You can take 2 mixes for £15, 4 for £18 or the whole lot for £21 (which is the equivalent of the Family Pack).

The Mixes are as follows:

To change your package you can use the freephone Disney channel number 0800 2792000 and press 1 to talk to Sky Customer Services.

All BBC channels are free to air, as are all radio stations with the exception of the ones listed in the "News and Events" mix above. All the shopping channels are free, as are most of the games channels.

As long as you have a viewing card (even if you no longer use it to subscribe) you'll still get ITV1, ITV2, Channel 4 and Five. ITV3 is free-to-air.

If you want to see exactly what you get without a card then just take it out to see!

This does not affect the way you pay for Sky+. You must have 2 premium channels to get the Sky+ functions free, otherwise you pay £10 per month on top of your chosen mixes.

Do you get E4?

If you take out your card and surf through the channels you'll see what's free and what isn't, but remember you'll get ITV1, ITV2, C4 and Five with an expired subscription card. The card holds your postcode details in order to put the right versions of BBC ONE, TWO and ITV1 at positions 101, 102, 103, so if you have no card you'll get the BBC ONE London at 101, BBC TWO England at 102 and ITV1 London at 103. The BBC National and Regional variants are available from 940 onwards.

E4 is not free on satellite but is available on Freeview (this is down to programme rights).

If I dont do anything will teh price go up? I have the family pack at the mo.

I might just change and see if anybody notices hehehhehe
