Switching from Virgin BB to sky

Hope someone can help.
I'm fed up with Virgin and have been offered a better deal by sky for Broadband so here's what I'm doing.
Getting BT reconnected (free) charge is £11.75 free evening and weekend calls.
Sky BB £5 a month.
Problem is I currently have a linksys router set up at home which I use for my laptop and a desktop in my daughters bedroom. Don't have a problem with the laptop as I'm sure this will pick up the sky BB. However my daughters desktop uses a linksys reciever (no card in desktop). Will this linksys still pick up the sky router or will I need to fit a card in her desktop.
