Robie, my husband does not care for the oils either. I think he cannot be bothered to be honest! Anyhow, Perfume Parlour do sprays in the same fragrances as the oils. My husband has no problem with spritzing stuff on to himself.

    Thanks for that Patty.
But, I think Perfume Parlour edts are too expensive. £8 for 1 and £20 for 3, i.e. 75ml.

We can get 75ml of the real edts at less cost than Perfume Parlour - so why order from them?

Anyway, that's my 2 pence worth.

Just to let you know that this Axis Premium Caviar EDT for men at The Perfume Shop is extremely similar to One Million in fact i can't tell the difference, my hubbie has it and its only £9.99 for 90ml. He has had One Million but its just too pricey.

I found out about it through HDUK but it has been sold out for ages. But back in stock.

    Love this thread.

Particularly interested in Thiery Mugler Ice*Man duplicate. Just love love this aftershave.

Ice*Men is *SO* expensive :(. Actually (almost) all stuff by TM is wonderful but Ice*Men is just divine.

I know Perfume Parlour do an oil but I don't get much joy out of oils. I have tried so many but I just don't get that smell. Also, more importantly no one has commented when I am wearing an oil as compared to an EDT.

Also, a good copy of Lacoste Red would be highly appreciated too.

    Thanks
    Robie

Go onto the perfume parlour website. Click men's sprays.
Hit CTRL-F, then type Lacoste Red into the search box. I think it's called Legend Dark or something like that. Note that this spray is an EDP which lasts a lot longer than an EDT.
  • Hi everyone, I came across this thread a few weeks ago and decided to give perfume oils a try and I absolutely love them. I managed to find some of my favourite scents which are flowerbomb, alien and angel.

I haven't seen the site I bought them from mentioned on here but they do 3 x 10ml bottles for £10.50. The site is perfumeoils.co.uk but the downside is they have a small range but the ones I did get from them were lovely.

I just bought 10 of the 3ml bottles to try. Clarity (Boss Orange) smells the exact same and is gorgeous, so does Warmth (Flower Bomb). Vertigo Pretty (Vera Wang Princess) smells truely awful when first applied (so does the proper version though) but after 1 min its lovely. Hint of Colour (Touch of Pink) isn't as nice as the real version and Koko Madam (think its meant to be Coco Mademoiselle) is just horrible, nothing like the real version.

Lidl Suddenly and also Shilpa Shetty perfumes both smell very similar to Coco Mademoiselle and really cheap if someone looking for a cheap smell alike.

Vault (Givenchy Very Irrestible) smells the exact same.
Issomer Women (Issey Miyake) is kinda similar but doesn't smell quite as nice. Charm (Miss Dior Cherie) is horrible! on me anyway, it smells like Jagermeister lol. Army Cool (Armani Code) is similar to real version but has a strong minty smell. Debate (Daisy) smells very similar but has something missing (can't put my finger on it).

Am looking for a few more perfumes to buy. Anyway have any good suggestions? I seem to like strong vanilla and floral smells with orange or amber.

Also looking for a cheap smell alike of Joop Homme

    Hi,

Perfume Parlour sell a Joop smell a like, or you could try this one http://www.milton-lloyd.co.uk/Detail/1284/me-too-homme-5055ml-edt-spray.htm, look on ebay or in your local cheapie shop. There's a shop here called Just Essentials that sells this brand for £3.99. All the ones I've tried are very good.

I agree with you about the PP version of Mademoiselle, I had the same problem with Allure. Chanel perfumes don't translate well to oils obviously.
  • M&S have started stocking a wider range of fragrances including unisex colognes in big bottles - out of curiosity (nd as it was my Dad's birthday)I ordered
    1. Berdoues 1902 Eau de Cologne Tradition The Vert 245ml and
    2. Berdoues 1902 Eau de Cologne Tradition Vetiver 245ml
thinking I'd sniff out the the best one for me and the one my dad would prefer.
I can now report back that I plumped for 2,'Vetiver' for me, it's fresh and light and, if you're as old as I am, it made me recall how old fashioned, freshen up pads 'Quickies' (in the blue, twist top, plastic tin) used to smell????

The 2nd one I chose for Dad (Tradition The Vert) was very lovely - light, not too sweet but seaside-y and very pleasant. I know it's right up his street - fresh without being harsh.

And at £8.50 for quite a large bottle, great value.
