i bought 5 bottles of so called smell a like oils. not one of the even came close to the original item. i know because i already own the originals. THEY ARE A CON THEY SMELL VULGAR. save your money and buy the genuine article . do not line the pockets of a con man who will promise you a scent for a couple of quid. AVOID IT IS A RIP OFF.

How rude are you! I have used this perfume site myself and its certainly not a con or a rip off. They smell like the branded version but I know they are not the real ones and I'm quite happy with that because - a) they have a similar scent which I liked in the first place; and b) I paid a fraction of the price for it.

Not sure which ones you tried that were vulgar, and I have bought some where I hadn't got the original before and it wasn't my cup of tea, but for the price I was happy to try it out.

There were no misleading posts in this thread. Honestly, some people find fault in everything it seems.
  • thanks for the info - have just ordered 2 x 6ml - fed up of teenage daughter nicking my real ones!

no need for that. i made a few orders from them and they smell ok. but i dont really like any perfume oils. i prefer the spray perfumes, but the oils were great to add to creams and baths.

hi ladies - after my long wait (due to french post being quite slow) i have received all 13 bottles i ordered. i LOVE them. sadly at the moment i smell like a perfume shop as i have tried most of them on at once, but i can say that all of them are close to the originals (that i know) and i love them all. i did buy 2 for my OH, one of which he has the original and the other not, and the first (allure sport) is very close and the second, safari for men is almost spot on. i am really happy and want to order more, but with so much to use now, i dont have an excuse ... yet. i will however think of one very soon.

i can honestly say that this thread has steered me in the right direction and that the service and products i received are just lovely and a total bargain! thanks once again for the thread and thanks once again to Amir.

ok if you are happy that is great . but look at it this way they are made of OIL. what do you put in your fryer and frying pan. look at what is inside the bottle and compare it to your cooking oil. ok it smells better but it is just as thick as cooking oil. now even if your cooking oil smelled nice i assume that you would not put it on your skin ?. can you imagine how greasy this stuff will make your skin ? BUY THE REAL THING. do not line the pockets of somebody who is selling scented cooking oil.

Actually I do! I use olive oil to cleanse my skin and also now instead of handcream :D My skin has never looked better :p

I will be placing an order with this company in the next couple of weeks. Can't wait to get my perfum oils :D

And I was once told (by a previous manager) that assumption is the mother of all f*** ups!! :o
Oils have been used for thousands of years to cleanse the skin, probably due to most of the water being so contaminated u were dirtier when u got out of a "bath" than when u got in.

I would like to say, once more for the record, I LOVE PERFUME PARLOUR!!!!:D

I think the main ingredient of "THE REAL THING" perfumes is ethanol- ie alcohol- can you imagine how drying alcohol is to your skin- comparing perfume oil's to the stuff you put in your frying pan is akin to comparing the ethanol you use in "perfume" to the stuff people use as a fuel additive, not really a clever argument.
As other's have said oil has been used for hundreds of year's on the skin and in my experience I've found the Perfume Parlour oil's far less irritating to my skin than a lot of far more expensive perfumes.
Where did you buy your "smell a like oil's" was it even from the same place everyone has discussed on this thread? Would be nice if you could come back and let us know.
For the record my favourite is the Lolita Lempicka it's gorgeous. I wish they'd do a Nina Ricci one though.
    Booo!!!

now that i have calmed down from the huge thrill of receiving my oils, i am on a "one a day" session as the smell of all 11 bottles tested on me at once is a little strong and overpowering. today i have the spring flowers - creed one on and i must admit to being pleasantly surprised. its quite flowery but with a bit of citrus (or thats how it smells on me) a definite winner. i also did have a go last night with the lolita lempicka - yum and the narciso rodriguez (sorry about spelling) which is just fabulous. i do have a tester of that so i know its pretty close and really is quite lovely - even my OH thought i smelt rather appealing!

i just love perfume parlour and cannot wait to have an excuse to order more, but think i should try all of those that i bought first. so ... ladies i would love more recommendations please.
