Its upgrade time again and I'm not up to speed with the latest and greatest mobile phones. So what should I ask for when I speak to the disconnections department?

I saw the nokia N91 but don't think its out until next year.
anything good coming out soon?

Cheers

  • why not just go for the motorola v3 rzor - either the silver one or the black one? they are really really nice, functional (bluetooth, etc.) - and most of all - slim and small - in one word, truly MOBILE!

Thanks for that site, I'd lost the bookmark I had of it ages agos. very good for getting up to speed with the phones

thehandsomeone: I'd seen the V3 but thought it might be quite old technology now since it seems to have been around for a long time. Must admit the slimness of it is appealing though.

Saw the 6280 from nokia online earlier and it looks a nice all round phone

yeah I saw that. I think with a 2mp camera I might actually start using the phone on my camera. The newer nokias seem to be coming with 2mp camera too. I think the SE autofocus is better than nokias from what i've read

    Cheers
  • Can someone please supply a good answer to my question, why on earth do you want a camera on a phone? I have a digital camera for photos, what I would really like is a mobile phone that you can make calls with, come over to the Cotswolds, there are so many dead zones, most of the time you end up moving around, getting close to a window!! up down, hello can you hear me!!!! beap beap beap beap...flippen things. You people in London aint got clue!

All you people with cameras on your phones, speak honestly now, when was the last time you used the camera, I bet the last time was the day you got your "new" phone. Both my kids have camera phone, cost a fortune and never use the camera... what a waste. My phone is a bog standard Nokia 3120, just got it. What more do you want.

My vote goes to the Nokia 6680, great phone very good battery life (for a 3G one)...And yes it has all this Camera nonsense as well, but I just ignore it...I couldn't agree more with Davidboy, the camera's have terrible quality even the best of the bunch is worse that the worst of the normal digital camera's....But anyway....my vote is the Nokia 6680....It's got a normal key-pad so you can feel the keys, they are in the normal phone position and the phone is shaped normally such that other people can hear you are the mic is near your mouth.....The N70, its successor is coming out this month, but I guess you would be pushing your luck....

But remember the phone is just one part, even though they give you the phone you may still get a better deal somewhere else...So shop around...
