Nice room Phirefly!
Great bargain-sleuthing!
I'll have a bedroom one day ... you see.
And a bed even!0 -
Thanks all.
After MONTHS of searching I've finally got me a duck-egg bedspread. It took about 4 attempts to match the shade of the wallpaper - luckily I'm not adverse to returning items for a reund!
Finally settled on the perfect one from Marshall Ward (fast becoming my #1 bargain portal) half price from £60.00, and I found another voucher code so paid £27.50 for it.
Problem is now, what with the human furnace that is Mr. Phirefly, a 13.5 tog duvet and throw, these warm nights have had me waking up with heat stroke every night!0 -
WOW!!!! I can't believe it...S&A Suplies is still going strong!!!!!! I used to buy wallpaper and paint off him many years ago when I was a skint single mum....!! Glad to see they are still going strong...brilliant!!
TERRIFIC bedroom too! Well done.
Of to contact S&A now...I guess Joe isn't working there anymore...he'd be in his 70's by now....0 -
Lovely room.
Quick question though, what is D&PW?0 -

She turned the letters into a clever little link (that's why it was blue). You could have clicked on it to find outEverything that is supposed to be in heaven is already here on earth.

What a beautiful room!
I'm looking for similar bedside cabinets and have tried to click on your ebay link, but it doesn't work for me. I wondered if you could repost it?
Out of interest, are you happy with your B&Q wardrobes? I'm looking to get some walnut finish wardrobes too.
Mnay thanks0 -

Thanks, I love it.
The ebay shop has changed its name - you can now find it on this link... http://stores.ebay.co.uk/Out-There-Interiors-Ltd_W0QQcolZ4QQdirZ1QQfsubZQ2d33QQftidZ2QQtZkm
I also found this:

I'm very happy with the wardrobes, but I would say don't bother with the canvas basket-style internal drawers, they're useless. I wish we'd got the solid cabinet-style ones.0 -
Beautiful bedroom, very tasteful!!
I have just redone mine too. It all started with me wanting a superkingsize bed. DH wasn't bothered, but let me buy one.
When the bed arrived, we realised that it was so wide that we couldn't open the wardrobe, so we moved the wardrobe into the spare room but that revealed that the wall behind it was a different colour so we had to repaint the whole room. We also had to get a new smaller wardrobe for our bedroom. On top of that, the sofa in the spare room had to come out to make room for the old wardrobe...are you still following? :rotfl:
In the end I got a brand new bedroom, MSE style of course. Hubby wasn't happy about the amount of work he had to do, but I am happy and that is what counts0
