I wanna find padded outdoor suits for premature babies

My daughter gave birth to her twin boys last Tuesday
At the moment they only weigh 4.85 lb and 4.91 lb
She has coats and padded outdoor suits size 0-3 months for them but they are far too big.
I would appreciate it if anybody knows where we can find some to fit tiny babies

I think Mothercare sell a good range of prem baby clothes.

Congratulations to your daughter ( and you of course!)

Can I suggest that you ask on www.freecycle.org in your area. You can join (free) and the post up a want. If anyone replies, then you can go round and collect, and it is free!

My baby was 5lb 11oz born, and the places i found good small baby clothes were Tesco, Asda, and Primark. Try those.
Also, a bit of a shot in the dark, but has she thought of asking the hospital?

    Have you tried www.earlybaby.co.uk

Not tried them myself but they offer free P&P. To look for the item you need you will need to enter "snowsuit" in the search box, I couldn't find any unless I did this.

    Good luck and congratulations

I have been a nanny for many years and am now a mum myself. It depends how much spare cash you have, but can I suggest that she uses many layers and finishes off with a blanket to keep the babies warm? It will be warm here soon and the babies will grow out of their snowsuits very fast. Good luck to you all. x

  • hello again. I tried to find these suits today, we went to bury market and adams, then to manchester to bhs, primark, next, disney store, marks & spencers and boots. then to tesco
everywhere seems to have summer stock in.
My daughter bought 2 suits at christmas in size 0 - 3 months and they are far too big.
If anybody sees any in manchester area can they please let me know.
the babies only measure 35cm from shoulder to foot and 9 cm from armpit to wrist

I agree, wrap them in layers and a shawl and save your money for lovely summer clothes when they are bigger.
