As per the title do you find them to be any good?

I've just signed up with them.
So far they seem fine.

I've been with them almost since they started. Their interest rates are poor compared to others (eg A&L), but I've stuck with them because of their outstanding customer service. They make mistakes like any other bank but the difference is they go out of their way to sort things out. So refreshing after my nightmares with Barclays.0

Couldn't agree more.
The only problem though is once you have dealt with First Direct it is very hard to put up with the dreadful service that is considered acceptable by the other banks.0 -

I have had my current account and our joint bills account with FD since early 1992, never had a problem, so far no mistakes.
I don't worry about the low interest rates because I move all my "spare" money as soon as I get it.0 -
Ditto. I've been with them since 1990 and never once thought of leaving. They answer the phone immediately and know what they're doing. The website works though it has an awful design. They send me an SMS every morning showing the last few transactions. I don't keep savings with them as there are better savings accounts elsewhere. I am sure you won't regret being with them.Eh?? I give up!! Towel is getting thrown in here!0

I find them excellent. As others have said, some of their products aren't very competitive. But their standard of customer service is excellent.
And from a personal point of view, they do a good off-set mortgage account - which currently means I have an interest free mortgage courtesy of a large stoozing pot!anger, denial, acceptance0 -

The above sums up my dealings with FD.
I find them good to deal with.0 -
First Direct have great customer service. I have been with them since they started and never had a problem. They were especially helpful when I had a "financial hiccup" a few years back, unlike some banks/credit card companies I could mention0

Excellent.
I rave about them to all my friends who think it's normal to have queries unanswered by your bank, no online banking, keep you on hold when you ring and say they get back to you when they never will.
The SMS sent when my balance goes below a certain amount is a particularly helpful feature.
So have no qualms about joining up...once you're with them, you won't want to go elsewhere.Who made hogs and dogs and frogs?
