VirginNet do a monthly contract although they have recently added a bit to their T&Cs saying they reserve the right to charge a cancellation fee if you leave before 12 months.

If I were you I would look at https://www.ADSL4less.com and https://www.v21.co.uk . Both do monthly contracts and are very reasonably priced.
