I must have replied to SP's post immediately. Perhaps Phil took notice of my post or one of the 154+ people who post under Phil's name corrected it.......lol" The greatest wealth is to live content with little."

Well done Phil.
Will you move out now?0 -

Hi lilac_lady, apologies for not noticing that the OP had edited his post after yours was posted - the underline appeared to be for emphasis, on reading your post, hence my response (a smiley might have been more appropriate/less liable to be misinterpreted?)0 -

Yes I think I did but just put my post in as a joke
However, on a more serious note, as this thread started to be about investments, in May 2007, I switched my mini ISA from L&G's UK Index fund to Schroders UK Mid-250 fund as I was unhappy with L&G's performance. No sooner had I done that when the Mid 250 fund dropped in value. Not too worried though as I'm in it for the long term and have confidence in Schroders and the fund manager. :cool:0 -

I'd gladly take that sort of return at the moment!0 -

How do we know whether it's a great return or not, phil? What was your investment - £10 or £10m?
Makes a difference. However hard up you are, never accept loans from your friends. Just gifts0 -

But it's even harder to understand why you are bothering to tell us.0 -
