Another good year of investments.

I am pleased to report the good news that I have earned another 1000 pounds last year in investments. It is not a great return I admit but it is a bit extra for the bank balance.

A whole fish supper just for himself is far too extravagant - just the chips should do nicely.
I remember the thread about him not wanting to spend the money on a fish supper should he get a girlfriend.
I also remember the cushion thread, the dead flowers thread and the bus money thread!!!

Since you bring up spelling and grammar, I think you'll find earned is strictly correct although earnt is also increasingly becoming acceptable.0 -

But I think you should read the ops post again, where he has written earned, so it looks as though you thought that 'earned' was wrong and 'earnt' was right0 -
