Does anyone freeze flour?

All flour has weevils in it... only they 'hatch' after the useby date!!
But I use so much flour, I never get within 6 months of the useby dates!!!We spend money we don't have, on things that we don't need, to impress people we don't like. I don't and I'm happy! Mortgage Free Wannabe :dance:Overpayments Made: £5400 - Interest Saved: £11,550 - Months Saved: 240 -
I've frozen within use-by date Mullerlight yoghut and it was fine to then eat frozen (like icecream). I don't know what it'd be like defrosted though.Household: Laura + William-cat

Frozen flavoured yoghurts are nice frozen - as kids we used to turn them upside down in the tub and lick them like ice lollies. I don't think plain, live yoghurt would be so good for eating after defrosting, but might be ok if you are using it in cooking - I have never tried it, so if you do let us know how it works!Trust me - I'm NOT a doctor!0

thanks folks.
I've just bought a second freezer and it occurred to me that bags of flour bought on special offer would be a good way of filling it up to begin with.
Never really thought much about weevils - UNTIL NOW!!!!!0 -
Just resurrecting an old thread to ask:
How long can the flour remain in the freezer?0 -
Ive merged this with an older thread on freezing flour. As far as I know people mainly freeze it to remove the risk of weevils setting up home
(rather than keeping it for months in the freezer)
How long were you thinking about freezing it?A little nonsense now and then is relished by the wisest men

yes it will be fine, maybe put it in a poly bag to avoid spillages... don't throw the string away. You always need string!
