Hi,

I've just got a V3 on Orange and have been trying to find a site to hekp me unlock it for free so I can put my old vodafone sim in to copy over my phonebook.
Does anyone know a site that can help me, as all the sites i can find only seem to do Nokia.

Thanks

I had one of these as well. I found it can't be unlocked using free codes so I had to get it unlocked for £10 at the local market.

Or buy a smart clip clone for £75+ P&P
  • what exactly do you do with that clip clone? and what's the point if unlocking it would cost about 1/7 of that?

basically you connect it to the phone and it removes the network lock...only really worth having if you

    1. intend to unlock more than 7

    2. are in business where you unlock a lot

for most people it's not worth buying the clip.

  • yeah, that makes sense. also, is the clip universal for all mobiles of a given manufacturer, or is it specific for a single model?

smartclip was one of the best unlocking devices i ever brought, i got it when they 1st came out and it was hard to unlock motos without expensive equipment. charged £10 a phone and soon got my cash back and then some.
  • I suppose at that time you were one of the few people who got it, and so there was quite a demand for your 'services' ;-) yeah, i'll consider doing that if we get enough people around to actually be willing to unlock their halomotos ;-)
