    It depends on who the "customer" was. I suspect agents, not just Avon ones, get caught out by people they trust. If you have sold to someone a number of times previously, then one time they don't have the money on them when you deliver the goods, it's easy to say "just give me the money tomorrow" and give them the goods. Then that person takes advantage and tries not to pay.

    It's a painful and horrible way to learn a lesson though.
