I was an 'Avon Lady' for a long time and they do have a clear policy that you should not give goods to customers, before they have paid - to avoid this very situation. Tell her to just pay it, its not really worth the bad debt and hassle.

I would also like to comment that as a newcomer to this site myself, I find it heartily dissapointing and a little off-putting that people are so judgemental on this site. What I am referring to is the fact that the person who started this thread is being bullied!! Why does it bother a person so much that someone would rather use a 'Z' than an 'S'? To make matters worse, when one person has a pop, other people 'brave up' and join in. It is all very shallow, and of no help to anyone! It is not an English Lit class...so c'mon people....

The reason is we spend a lot of time reading posts and trying to help. When you get posts that are deliberately made hard to read, because the poster uses a 'z' instead of 's' at the end of words, or uses text speak, or makes the whole post bold thinking it will stand out, or makes the font colour pink for the same reason, you get annoyed.

If someone has clicked on your thread, it is because they are interested in it, you don't have to make it stand out, they are already interested and reading it.

In short, if you want people to help you, you should not make it hard for them to read your post.

I've lost count of the posts I've given up reading because the poster insists on replacing words with single letters or numbers, or has changed to font so it is very hard for me to read.

Great post....I definately agree. I don't like posts that specifically pick on the posters writing or spelling. Especially in such an agressive way as this thread. I don't agree with the Z's used by the OP but I perfectly understood what they were asking!

I work in debt recovery myself, and these Avon debts come around ALL the time. It's just sillyness at the end of the day (no offence meant). Your mother is fully liable for the debt, noone else, it is down to her to get the money from the goods she 'sold'.

After everythings said and done, your mother is fully liable. She needs to pay it asap.

I hate reading posts lttered with text speak, short cuts, abbreviations, multi-coloured text and ALL CAPS. Poor spelling i can handle because not everyone is great at it as long as it isn't so bad that it's difficult to get the point

As for the OP - I can't understand why the goods were handed over before payment was received. Wa there some sort of payment plan in place that the buyer defaulted on?
