Considering PAYG - Sure it can work out cheaper?

Hi just looking for a few opinions on the following really. :rolleyes:

Just about to receive a free iPhone, and my current contract is running out (perfect timing).

Now I am considering either getting a Nokia N95 8GB 600m 500t £35/m (£25 after cashback redemption) 18 month contract.

OR

Getting a PAYG sim and putting it in the iPhone. I use about 200m and 500t average.

Ive read about these PAYG sims where you get 600 free texts for topping up just £20 a month. So I'm sure that if I just topped up £20 a month I'd be sorted? Why doesnt everybody do this?

I would like to use the internet though and that is unlimited on the O2 iphone contract.

What to doooooooo? Any help appreciated!!!

You could always get the N95 and sell it if you're going to have a free phone anyway after that and your cashback on the line rental you could be quids in?! I did similar with a 12 month free deal on the LG prada, made nearly £300 profit!

Have a look at 3uk PAYG. 12p per minute or text plus you can buy bundles of texts (or minutes) which can bring them down to 3p per text.
Better still, follow martins advise and try Vyke. I've just this even installed it on my phone with a 3 PAYG sim with £5 internet addon and through Vyke, I can text for 1p each! Check martins article on free texts under mobiles.

It's the Orange payg that gives you 300 per £10 top up 600 text per £20 top us etc.. you also qualify for some internet usage with those top us amounts, and if you catch the deal when it's available, free calls to other orange phones after 7pm
