I doubt anyone who wants to keep a horse in their back garden has got anything resembling a mind !

Unfortunately out neighbour has just built a stable in his front garden :( So not looking forward to the smell of summer :(

We are in the country and the houses are detached but still I can look out my kitchen window at the stable

Have you checked for planning permission? You can usually view that sort of thing online now.

When we moved in, I saw the applications in our close and people were applying for porches and garden sheds! I can't believe that stables could slip through unvetted.

Planning permission? Geez folk around these parts dont go in for that. And its not so easy to go shop a neighbour - when theres only 8 houses in the hamlet

And I thought the place I grew up in was a hamlet - it was cosmopolitan by comparison. We had at least 20 houses, a church and a chicken farm!

It's a tough call. Still, depending on the actual situation, that stables may knock thousands off your property price. Not very neighbourly of your neighbour :) .
