Hi Guys!
Have changed a couple of the meals for this week and am very pleased that the freezer is only a third full (it is huge though!) and should be through it all in about 2-3 weeks I think.
Have a good week.

GirlySquare, How do you make this? I really like the sound of it.
I haven't posted my meal plan this week as I had my new kitchen installed, so I wasn't cooking for a few days.
Back on track from Thursday though! Lovely mealplans by the way. Yum Yum!!!! :T :T0 -
Hi kraftykat, here's the recipe (from the netmums.com cookery book):
Serves 4 children
Suitable for ages 1 year +
Will freeze
about 8 sausages
1 onion, peeled and chopped
a little olive oil or other vegetable oil
2 tsp curry powder (or to taste)
2 tsp turmeric
1 veg stock cube (low salt if possible)
150ml boiling water
1 x 400g can baked beans (low salt if possible)
Tip
Sausages vary so much in quality. It is worth paying a few pence extra to get those with a high lean meat content. Local butchers sausages or organic sausages often taste excellent. If you are keeping an eye on your children's weight, you can buy extra lean sausages.- Grill the sausages and chop each one into four pieces, keep warm.
- Fry the onion in the oil on a low heat until soft.
- Add the curry powder and turmeric to the onion pan, and cook for one minute, stirring.
- Add the stock cube to the water and then add to the onion. Cook for two minutes then add the beans and sausages. Stir well and simmer for a few minutes until hot through.
You can add extra vegetables to this if you like – for example, mushrooms (add towards end of onion cooking time), cooked carrots (with the beans) or pieces of cooked broccoli (with the beans)."We have to be kind because everyone is fighting a great, great battle" - Sir Richard Attenborough

Sat - HM Chicken Jalfrezi with bought naan
Sun - HM Ham Leek and Potato Gratin
Mon - Sausages with (bought) curry chip
Tues - take away
Wed - HM chilli or bolognaise - this will produce a 2 freezer portions too
thurs - HM Gingered Pork
Friday - HM Spicy Tomato chicken
Sat - HM Meatballs
all my ' weekday' recipes are 30 minute recipes, it only takes me longer at the weekend.
mostly made from scratch except for the bought stuff0 -
Hi GirlySquare,
Thanks for the recipe, sounds really easy to make.....ideal for midweek.
Have you made this before? How did it turn out? Did your family enjoy it?
I love sausages and always like a new recipe that includes them. :j :j0 -
