    ***Rant Alert***

My local boots is in Halifax and i want a rant about the damn SA's, i'm only 21 and look about 12 lol, but they look at me as though my money means nothing. I get followed by the security guard as though im a shop lifter, when i get to the tills they then look down my nose at me as though im not good enough to buy in boots! i've spend a fair bit the last few weeks, and not all on offer items, i dont purposely hold up queues or cause trouble, and i definatly dont shop lift! its really starting to put me off going in there. i love getting bargains and wil use vouchers where i can but i dont go overboard. i also buy lots of things for my family that they love and at xmas i spend a fortune!

grrr, sorry to rant but just really annoyed that they seem to hate anyone under the age of 30 in my local!!!
Don't worry, in my experience they treat the over 30s like that too ! At least you can say Boots don't discriminate on age :rotfl: .

    Thanks for reminding me.

I want to say a big:beer: thank you  to the people who have suggested using the mini photo albums. I got some reduced and bogof, so now I have a boots one and a Tesco one. The photo spaces at the front are the right size to take a logo from a mailing, so I can see which is which quickly!

What I did is get all the reduced picture frames I've bought (BOGOF, with points off, of course) and put any expired Boots coupons I have in each one and filled a wall with them :rotfl: .

(But seriously, I have a BIG photo album for all my coupons (Boots and others) and it's excellent, but I do hide it if anyone visits !!!)
  • Morning all just wondered if this coupon combo would work:-

**Boots Expert Post preg shampoo + Boots expert post preg conditioner (free with P.C vouucher).

** Use 'Half price on Expert Maternity' (pc voucher)

** ACM- 200 points wyb from expert maternity range

    **100 mag voucher

    - is that right?? - spend around 99p and get 300 points back??

Would be grateful for any help - THANKS!!XX

Bloomin' annoying, isn't it? My advice though? Hold your head up, give the security guard a polite smile then ignore him. Do your shopping, be pleasant to the till girls and just keep going in. You're not doing anything wrong and eventually they'll get used to you. There will be a security camera on you everywhere you go anyway so what's the difference?

I'm nearly fifty, inoffensive looking in a well scrubbed way and don't tend to carry suspicious looking bags around but our latest security guard in my main Boots has obviously noticed I'm in a lot these days and that I do spend a lot of time just wandering around picking things up and putting them down in a random sort of way. (I'm looking for reduced SELs, like we all do...) So he wanders up and down the aisles I'm in from the opposite direction. He's not pushy but it's obvious he's got his eye on me and is letting me know it. However that's his job....he's there as a deterrent, mostly, and anyone acting out of the least bit ordinary will usually be watched a bit more closely. That's what he's supposed to do! I'm not doing anything the least bit illegal so though I do find it irritating I let him get on with it.

The staff at the tills are pleasent enough but they are starting to get this "Oh Gawd it's her again" look on their faces as I come up!
    Val.
  • I purchased a few of the magnetic photo frames yesterday (38p each) and stuck them on the fridge with my vouchers in :) I'm also taking 1 to work to do the same there with the vouchers I don't need
  • Just another question :-

**Can I use the 'save £5 on olay total effects moisturiser' (pc coupon) + Free olay wipes/toner/face wash (pc coupon) together??? if so which Olay product do I need to buy??

** also got the 'save £2 on pantene shamppo/conditioner'(pc coupon) - can I use it on the cheapest pantene??

Any ideas would be gratefully received - thanks all!!XX
