***Rant Alert***
My local boots is in Halifax and i want a rant about the damn SA's, i'm only 21 and look about 12 lol, but they look at me as though my money means nothing. I get followed by the security guard as though im a shop lifter, when i get to the tills they then look down my nose at me as though im not good enough to buy in boots! i've spend a fair bit the last few weeks, and not all on offer items, i dont purposely hold up queues or cause trouble, and i definatly dont shop lift! its really starting to put me off going in there. i love getting bargains and wil use vouchers where i can but i dont go overboard. i also buy lots of things for my family that they love and at xmas i spend a fortune!
grrr, sorry to rant but just really annoyed that they seem to hate anyone under the age of 30 in my local!!!
<BIG HUG>
Let's hope you get a survey spit, then you can tell them you weren't happy with the SAs - remember to note the name on the badge/till receipt.Slowly getting organised enough to actually write a signature...:rotfl:Boots points: £72.75 when I lost it lol Tesco points 2140
Pigsback £4.65 MSF £3.410 -

I am guessing she is lying low where it comes to public posting right now, which is wise. And it's probably why it's not a bad idea to delete posts quoting her, so that (hopefully) anything she said can't be used against her if Boots were trying to make an example out of her.
She has posted this evening on another forum, and she's posted that she hasn't heard anything;)0 -

Thanks for reminding me.
I want to say a big:beer: thank you  to the people who have suggested using the mini photo albums. I got some reduced and bogof, so now I have a boots one and a Tesco one. The photo spaces at the front are the right size to take a logo from a mailing, so I can see which is which quickly!
OMG, I have done exactly that with Boots logo! Glad i'm not the only one
KJ1980 - don't think they have cheese and pickle, though they are one of my faves too.0 -
Had a nice little shop today although it really makes me wonder why we do this. I bought a frame for 75p bogof and used the 200 acm pts i forgot i also had the pc on too thank god because the !!!!!ing from an SA who was on the next till was unreal she lowered her voice but didn't wait for me to move away and me and my mum heard everything. I paid at the photo counter as that's where the frames where funnily enough lol and they were disgusted that not only were they reduced but on bogof she didn't believe me or the till and went to the shelf to check. I find it odd that SA's in a small department in a small store do not know about their products when the shelf was right next to their till. I then did it again but the acm only gave me one voucher so this time i paid with pts went to a different SA who then said she was going to take some and hide them either in the store or out the bck so she and other SA's could have them all. Then i got this http://www.boots.com/shop/product_details.jsp?productid=1077592&classificationid=1045280&slmRefer=000 with my till spilt as it was reduced to £3.99 so i paid £1.99 Nappies were still full price SA in another store said they are making the packs smaller so need to get rid of old ones and i really need lots of nappies now because i have just found out that i'm................. Going to be an auntie for the first time :j :j :j i am chuffed to bits for them as they were due to have ivf today and did a test and she is 8 weeks gone i know early days but fingers crossed so i now need lots of cheap nappies for 2 nappy cakes. Has anyone seen any reduced in derby or notts?:)Mummy to 2 wonderful boysWant to be fit for 30 not fat at 30but i want never gets!!!0

Grabbing GWPs
had a chat with a friend about the ethics of getting GWPs that are promoed as being for Max Factor purchases for example and the friend practially accused me of stealing so when I picked my mouth up off the floor and calmed down pointed out that
a) for years boots charged over the odds as they had no compettion and its payback time
If you think their prices are too high then don't shop there. It's a free country.
b) the GWPs go through as having no monetary value and one is making other purchases
The GWPs are still the property of Boots though. My old moggie has a monetary value of £0.00 but I'd still hunt you to the ends of the earth if you pinched him because he's MINE.
c) they GWPs tend to be samples and old stock so contribuitng to future purchase choices.
Actually, they're also produced as incentives to purchase more of that manufacturers product. Something which often seems not to happen with GWPs round here?
so if you get into conversation about the ethics of GWPs hold your ground and get them.
I think perhaps defending the "ethics" of taking items belonging to another person or company without their permission is a bit...err...what's the word? B*llocks? Total b*llocks? Desperate self-justification of something that you know is wrong but are going to do anyway?
I mean, do it if you want to. But don't try to pretend it's a morally pure thing to be doing.Val.0
