Anyone notice what happened to lot 77, former pub with PP for 14 apartments. Alternatively make it into a factory again. And stop people beliveing that houses/flats are investements rather than places to live.
If as it looks like, financial services as an industry are going down the toilet - where is the UK going to get it's wealth from? We don't make anything anymore.
And they need to be able to borrow (mortgage) to buy it.
Commercial mortgages are just as hard to get now as residential mortgages.
If somebody wanted it as a factory, it'd be one.
No, we don't make anything any more, because other people can make things cheaper than they can be made in the UK. It can be cheaper to import what's wanted. So more risk and less profit to make things.0 -
They'll buy any old tat in W2

Went for: £400k
Mind you, I know a 2-bed flat in the area can easily cost over £600k
Come to London, spend a fortune, live in a rough old shed for £400k0 -

5% gross yield on the rental.
Looks like a garage with rooms stuck on top, with access off a dirt track.I'm a Forum Ambassador on the housing, mortgages & student money saving boards. Lot 104 going well....We made it! All three boys have graduated, it's been hard work but it shows there is a possibility of a chance of normal (ish) life after a diagnosis (or two) of ASD. It's not been the easiest route but I am so glad I ignored everything and everyone and did my own therapies with them.
Eldests' EDS diagnosis 4.5.10, mine 13.1.11 eekk - now having fun and games as a wheelchair user.0 -
