unlocking a v525 please
hi, i have done a search on this but still need a bit of help.
i have a motorola v525 phone and when i turn it on it asks for a subsidy password which i do not know.
Is there a way of unlocking these for free, or what is the cheapest way to do it?
i do have the original user guide manual, would the code be in there by any chance?
hope you can help

no free codes for these, the easiest way is to find a local shop that does them, or take a look at a local Market or boot fair....
it will cost about £10Ex forum ambassador

If you got a data cable and flashing software you can do it that way for about 20-25 quid, so take it to a shop for peace of mind and unlocked for 10quid0

ok, yes i wouldnt know how to do it with cables and stuff so i will take to a shop.
do i take it into any moblie phone shop, as i do not have a local market where i live, and do you know how much it would be at a shop, probably dearer eh?.
why is the motorola one so hard to unlock by the way?appreciate what you have got x0 -
big chains like Car Phone warehouse or the Link won't do this ...Computer shops often do it or a small independent phone shop....
No-One ever worked out the method that they use to lock these, mosy people use a "Clip" that does all the work...don't ask me how ??Ex forum ambassador

If you've got a data cable and the time, you can unlock using PST and studying the hex. Perfected by sho3y on www.howardforums.comtiscali have unbundled my line, and iptv is available on my exchange, hello fair usage policy, hello congestion.0
