Tips on tarting up a house to sell
Comments
-
We're selling our house and have really tarted it up, painted the exterior, interior, cleaned everything and de-cluttered. We still have some gardening to do and a skip to remove though!
Although I want our house to look the best it possibly can (Hard with 3 boys and a builder living in it) we have viewed loads where the vendors are clearly fed up with keeping immaculate houses and have just flicked the duster. It doesn't put us off, but I can imagine that if we saw an identical house which was better presented then we would go for that.
Don't forget to clean the windows... Pretty plant pots outside, a couple of large indoor plants look nice. Think about how your viewers would want to live and give them their aspirations if at all possible.
We also found that if people are familiar with the area and type of house they often like to look around without being shown. Then they can pull faces at your decor without you knowing...
Best of luck,
