    God it drives me insane when sales assistants do this!! If they didn't have any graphics up- they should have given you a goodwill refund. It drives me mad!!! i'm a manager on a concession in Debs so I know ALL about customer service. I can fully understand you calling head office- i would! When you write to them state that you are not disputing the exchange policy but the manner in which they advertise this- maybe you can change this for all debenhams?!

    Ps Juno, No you can't return any concession items because when you return an item you need the barcode on the bottom of the original Debs receipt to get a REFUND. I do always state that you can exchange it for any item(s) of the same value in my concession. To be honest if I had to refund from my main store I would literally take NO money because we just couldn't compete!

    Went back to Debenhams this morning.
    I had exchanged the original 50% discounted items for full priced things.Then today just went in and asked for a refund.
    Was given full CASH refund no prob.
    I would have been happy with gift vouchers to spend in Debenhams at the start, as I didn't know the returns policy, but this has been stupid and time wasting for everyone.
    Now I'm so annoyed I don't think I will ever set foot in Debenhams again.

    Still no signs stating returns policy that I could find
