You are right it doesn't mention timeslip on this website. I have seen it before and the specs included timeslip (which nearly all DVD-RAM players have BTW). I double checked before posting that - can't remember where.

    Edit:

    http://www.panasonic.co.uk/dvd-recorders/dmres10/index.htm

It clarifies: "simultaneous recording and playback" and "1 Sec.Quick Start for Recording" - I thought it was 3 seconds, even better!
  • I have one the old panasonic DMR ??? es (about a year old) I think its a great machine but it does take a while to start up. However I would like to know what software you use toconvert DVD Ram into a format that you can copy to a DVD - or + R as I have bought the DVD Ram drive for my PC but have never had much joy at converting files

I just had one delivered on Tuesday from Digital Direct. £159.99 with 10 free Panasonic RAM discs. I have made it region free.

The 2005 range have one sec quick start recording which I have tried out and works perfectly. Very good unit. Quieter than last years models too.

How did you do the region free out of interest. panny's (well the older ones) seem to be a pain to do either by firmware or chipped remotes?

I know someone with a service remote.

You can do it by hiring a chipped remote which is about £20. A google search will tell you where to get one.
