    I'd certainly be wary of 3, their coverage is patchy, even in London, and personally I wouldn't rate their service at all. Vodaphone would get my vote.

    My understanding is that 3's coverage is pretty good in most places except London and the South East. What you do have to watch out for is the charges if you go over your contract capicity limit. £100-£1000 per GB.

    I see the PAYG 3 dongle is 39.99 with free postage from www.play.com.
    A £10 top up is good for 1GB data over 30 days, and no contract, which is a bonus if you've ever had to deal with their customer service.
    Anecdotally, I don't think they're much worse than anyone else. In the boaty world I live in, lots of people use them.

    Was hard to find on Play even searching on keywords USB 3g dongle etc etc, finally found it by stepping thru categories. Interesting diversions en route included a Nokie N800 tablet at £150. Please confiscate my credit card!!
