No am not a legal bod and the hearing was for my own case. It ok though the Halifax never defended its case and it was in breach of the court order given by the Judge at the end of the hearing so either way i've won. It's just waiting for Halifax to pay up now.
As for taking it up i don't know. Am an engineer by trade and enjoy doing manual work. Its worth thinking about but the training alone is daunting.0 -

Believe me i wasn't impressed the court sent me a letter saying that Halifax wanted to have a hearing to stay the judgement. Then theu even turned up i was mega !!!!ed. Then the judge said that they responded in plenty of time "hello judgement by default 14 days minimum". At which point i gave up until he awarded expenses to me for having to attend the court. He then gave a court order:
1. Judgement is stayed
2. Halifax have 14 days to file a defence in the case (until 15th may 1600).
3. Halifax must pay the expenses prior to 15th may 1600.
The courts currently have a siz working day backlog (great) and now have just found out the Judge is on holiday. So probably won't see the money till August.0 -

I have knowledge of certain areas of law but I am nowhere near qualified. Now ask me about mortgages etc LOL.
My knowledge of this whole subject is down to 2 cases and the understanding to what situations these are likely to apply to for others to argue.I am a Mortgage AdviserYou should note that this site doesn't check my status as a Mortgage Adviser, so you need to take my word for it.
