I have had to buy a note book to keep a note of all the SARs ,refund for charges and PPI I have requested so far!

Then I've had to write down all the dates the letters were received and work out each deadline the company has!:o

I keep forgetting the times allowed for each thing eg 40 days for a SAR.
8 weeks for PPI reclaim and only 2 weeks when asking for a refund of charges. I hope I've got that right!

Laini using your fantastic SAR request letter for the first time today so thanks for that. x:T
Di hope your father in law is still doing well.x:wave:

Marshallka good luck with the cheque.:j

Finally you know claims have taken over your life when you are not excited about a family day trip to the Isle of Wight as you won't be around for the postman or get to a computer to check emails or post on the forum!

  • Hi, I am very new to this, and don't even know if I have done this correctly?

Anyway, I have been reading the website about claiming back PPI, and I don't know if I would be able to do this.
Basically in 2004, I took a loan out with Tesco Finance, I did the application online, and cannot remember selecting PPI. They then sent me the Credit Agreement, which I still have in front of me and it reads like this:

    Main Loan £10,500
Insurance Loan £ 1,514 (The premium payable to the insurers for extra payment protection insurance cover for the first customer
    Credit

Right so was this insurance added to the loan as a single premium cover. In other words was it a loan to pay the insurance??

    what is an unregulated agreement
It is an agreement which is not regulated by the Consumer Credit Act 1974 - it would say on the top of your agreement whether it is regulated or not - the CCA '74 applied to loans not exceeding £25000, if they did they are classed as unregulated agreements (ie not subject to the provisions of the consumer credit act 1974)

Have you had a final response from them in months at all??

Have you actually sent them any letters yet other than to get your SAR??

    Also loan.co.uk was fined already.
