    Hi Money2008

So it was regulated by the FSA then, that's cool, at least that's a head start with that one out of the way.;)

Now here is the complaint forms on the Financial Ombudsman Service site.;)

    http://www.financial-ombudsman.org.uk/consumer/complaints.htm

On that link as you go down the page there are different ways of doing filling in these complaints, check it out and see which way is easier for you.

The FOS did also email me the other week to inform me I can also send this online too, by doing this you can fill in online and print off so that you can sign these as I believe the signature is required by hand, then scan them onto your computer documents, then there will be an email addy for you to send them to, or you could get in touch by phone ask them to send you the forms if you have no printer and do it that way, but as you will probably already be aware, best send these off by recorded delivery post.
This way you can track the postal reference number on the 'Track and Trace System' online on www.Royalmail.com ;)

Any other information you need, just yell where these great lot on here will be able to assist you further.

    All the best.

FIRSTLY DON'T DESPAIR - WE WANT TO HELP YOU !!!!!

Right 2 issues here - firstly all your PPI was mis sold - go back to main forum and see how to start re-claiming against each - tell them you've been in touch and they won't pay out due to pre-existing condition so you should NEVER have been sold the policies in the first place.

    2. you've sorted 3 of the 4 credit cards, on the fourth you've attempted to negotiate a settlement, therefore, I suggest you make an appointment with the Citizens Advice Bureau who are EXTREMELY helpful and knowledgeable regarding debts and ask them to negotiate with the 4th Company - I'm certain they will be able to help. The company won't take you to court they'll just handover to debt collection agency who hardly ever start proceedings, so don't worry there - go to the CAB, get there advice and keep in touch

    Hi

Thanks for the help. I stress I am not trying to avoid my debts but they dont seem to be flexible to want to help me help myself to help them - if that makes sense

When I put a proposal foward to all 3 (or 4) companies do I just split what I have leftover equally between the 3 / 4 and somehow show I have divided what I had left between all my outstanding debts? Obviously I cant just do 1at a time and wait for acceptance of each offer in turn and obviously I can justify that I cannot pay what I do not have!?

Thanks and will keep you posted.

which is utter rubbish, have asked where on the legislation is says it's only applicable to Credit Cards - waiting for their final response
I too sent in several complaints to their MD about there complaints team saying what they had said and stated in a "letter" to me. I never heard anything back from them at all. In fact they have not responded to anything since the FOS said they could not help.

I still feel that they lied to me more than once in this fiasco with Freedom/Bespoke. I still want to have them for these lies/deceit. I can't take on both together but i will have them soon enough. They have all stuck together in this. I don't want them to get away with the things that they have done. I feel that they have some obligations to customers too even if they did not sell these products in that they employ these people as agents/brokers and should check the fitness of these. Obviously they have none as up to yet they have got off scott free. This shouldn't be allowed.

you need to write to cancel any ppi for any repayments are made within the addition of any ppi policies - that may cut down on them, but again I'd take your questions to the CAB, they are best qualified to give the sort of advice you're after in terms of helping with debt management

that's why section 75 is so cunning, if you make the Credit Granter liable for the actions of THEIR agents and you receive compensation, they then have to sue their 'selling' agents to get their money back - so it actually punishes the whole lot of them !!!!

No-one has won against Firstplus with it yet though have they?

Are you taking them to court on this basis tiggrae for your clients?

They have just not responded to my complaints since the ombudsman said they cannot help. Just have to wait a while first as i say i cannot take on the both at the moment and until i know what one is doing i cannot do anything with the other if you know what i mean.

My partner has a car loan which to me seems as though its a single premium PPI applied to it

(figures broken down but added to full loan amount) She is 3 years into a 5 year agreement.

The PPI is with Car protect - I don't believe theres any question of mis-selling, as none of the other parts on Martin's checklist apply to her

However is it possible for her to cancel the policy now, and claim back the PPI she has paid, or does she have to pay off the loan first before claiming back the PPI.

She hasn't made a claim against the PPI and has not missed any payments.

Sorry if this is a silly question, it just didn't seem to obvious to me.

    Thanks
What are you wanting to claim it back for? You say that it was not missold? Or are you saying it was missold? I am confused here...

Is it just for the reason it was a single premium policy?

If you cancel the policy and it was a single premium then often you only get a very small amount back and as it was a loan to pay the ppi then this is still payable each month with interest for the full term of the loan.
