    Hi,
Don't know whether you have been reading my posts, but FF solicitors had until 9th June to submit documentation to the court and to me.
In the meantime however, the solicitor has phoned and emailed me to see if I will reach an out of court settlement.
Today, as we speak ie 12th June, FF solicitors have still not submitted any documentation. But they have come up with my request of £4575 which is what I asked for yesterday via email. Their original offer was £1000. They will do everything so as not to go to court, they know they will lose.
Hope this has been of some help Sally.
Well done you. Thats good news. Pity Kaia is not around to share it with you. :j :j

the ombudsman can request whatever they see fit in order to assess a complaint, they may be the same as you've requested or different - however, he will only be looking at the issue of an unfair rebate NOT at the mis selling angle, so I suspect they won't ask for any telephone conversations. If you decide to go to court of the mis selling, you can make a court order for them to produced everything they have
But isn't that what a SAR is, everything they have.

    Hi everyone
Many many many many thanks to everone on this post who has helped me claim backk my PPI from Freedom Finance, before it got to Court. All my sleepless nights are now finished.
Please to anyone who is worried, just press on. They know they are fighting a losing battle and their days of mis selling PPI are numbered.
    Thankyou everyone and thankyou Martin.

The PPI was added to my balance, interest was paid by me on the balance.

so they paid you the PPI back - did you accept it as full and final settlement? or without prejudice?

you should expect to be repaid any interest, but not the 8% statutory interest - statutory interest is only where you've been unlawfully deprived of money - as you never paid the PPI you haven't been deprived of money so are not entitled to statutory interest

yup - but of what the Data Protection Act - the Information Commissionaire has very little power - so you'de have to start proceedings for breach of the DPA - and how would you quantify the amount you'de put a claim in for - they are not daft these companies - I've been waiting over a year for information from a bank to be sent and despite a complaint to the ICO I still haven't received it !!!
