hiya murphy, i too had calls missing from the tape that were in relation to my claim and although one shows on the transcript papers off their computer, my actual recordings are missing. I wrote back and they say they were not taped. They also said that all recording dating to the taking of the loan are missing as they did not have a recording facility. (yeah right:rolleyes: ). They are being very clever over what they give out to you. Let us know when you hear what they have to say. Also if you do have to contact the FOS then let them know this too as the more peeps that complain about what Firstplus are sending people out for their sars the better.

    Hi Marshallka

Got a call this morning from FP ref my 'missing phone calls'. The guy basically said that he had traced a further 2 conversations which were not on the cd, just as i thought, and suprise suprise, he confirmed that on both calls i stated that i did not require ppi. He said he has escalated my claim to senior mangement as he fully accepts a my case, ie misold.
He confirmed that an offer would be issued in 7-10 days including intrest, and that he will also phone me with an update accordingly.
I shall report back with more when i have the offer

Good news then. Congratulations, keep us posted.

I wish they would find me calls. Its because they say that at the time i took out my loan there was no recording facilty. Its so annoying this.

Just spoken to trading standards about the unfair rebate on my loan and they have informed me that in most cases that have gone to court the courts have been in favour of the lender.

He did however say IF the FOS do look into my ppi then i would be awarded the ppi back and the settlement would have to be on a loan that i applied for of £17k over 10 years and not 160 months. Its a big if though. God this is sooooo frustrating.

He also said non status goes on the APR and that to be classed non status then it would need to be a very big APR.(42%) I disagree with that one but seems he knows best. Have to wait and see.

Hello to all from a newbie, first post of many I hope on my quest to helping my girlfriend out of her debt problems.

A question to all you good people... I am about to start in an attempt to reclaim PPI for a LTSB loan. The problem we have is that my girlfriend stopped meeting the monthly repayments and the loan sum is now being collected by a debt collection company.

Can I legitimately claim the PPI back from LTSB even though they no longer have the debt, so to speak. They cut short the loan as I understand because my girlfriend was failing to make repayments and passed a lump sum on to a debt collection company.

    Has anyone encountered this situation?

    Thanks in advance.

    Hi Chrisrawl,

Welcome to the site. I am sorry I am not able to answer your question as I don't know the answer but by putting your quote in my post hopefully someone may know the answer and it puts your question on the last page.

    Good-luck
I have 2 PPI claims all being dealt with by FOS could do with a win. I also have 1 PPI claim with FSCS because company gone bankrupt.
I have claim for bank charges on-hold for 3year

    Good-luck all

As long as she never claimed on the PPI you should still b e able to claim as they were the ones that (mis) sold you it - when was the loan taken out? and how many payments did she make?
