Am printing out loads of stuff for my court documents and I really hope it is worth it and its been such hard work!

Documents due by Thursday so will be interesting to see what they intend to use. Still waiting for the information i asked them for (training records etc) and they have til 17th on that so I dont really know what to do with that. Probably ring the court to see if I can forward them on if relevant to the case.

Anyone else had that happen? Been reading the success stories thread and really please for everyone who has had refunds. Why oh why can some people get it with just oen letter when I am battling it out and will be the unlucky one that will be in court June 26th!

    Sorry - just having a moan :<

I have a very strange sitation here. I receive a letter a few weeks ago regaurding a PPI with a company I have no record of having PPI with. I wrote and they said it was for loan I took out one year ago with Citifinances. I have never had a loan with citifinance. they said I paid a single premium of £607 I have looked through all my loan agreements with PPI I never ust incase cause sometimes they move loans (they start with one and finish with another i.e. I had one loan that started with money partners and it went to capital one) but never piad £607 as a single premium. No money has left my account unaccounted for. So I have no idea what all this is about but really worried about identity theft. I have now writen to citifinance to find out more, in the mean time does anyone know what I can do.
Put a claim in for mis selling;) . (with interest of course)

    No really thats very strange:confused:

Try and claim it back and see what happens! you need all the details - ask for a copy of the agreement - it may have a signature - if not a signature then they must have more detail, where have the loan repayments been going from? Get in touch with citifinance as well and get all the same details.

    Hi,
I took out a £37K loan with the Woolwich in 2006 in the form of "loan pot" in my Open Plan Current Account facility. On this I paid £306 pm interest, at their standard variable rate.

In 2007 when Barclays took over part of the Woolwich, all my Woolwich accounts became Barclays accounts. My loan pot was discontinued and the contents tipped into my Barclays current account registering as a -37K debit amount. I paid interest at the standard variable rate, however was advised by my bank manager that I would be better off as the interest payments would be about £40pm less. Indeed they are. Roughly since then I've paid £260 pm.

I have no Agreement paperwork on this, I was never sent any, it was just a telephonic arrangement. I have monthly statements, but nothing showing details of PPI. However during a telecon yesterday with a Barclays Loan representative, I was told the differentiation was probably due to "insurance payments."

I'm about to embark on Martin Lewis's standard letter writing in an attempt to reclaim, but feel I may meet a brick wall as my agreement, such as it was, was with the Woolwich, and that Barclays may say they don't have any duty to reimburse. Does anyone have any advice on whether I'm flogging a dead horse? Thanks in advance.

    found it!!

    Dear Sir/Madam,

I am writing to you in regard to our complaint concerning mis selling of the single premium insurance.
As you will be aware that the Financial Ombudsman has been involved with our complaint and you have now agreed to refund us the difference as nearest possible to what we would have been if we had been sold the loan without PPI.
As yet I have not received the financial details on the redress as requested by the FOS, so I would like to remind you of this.

As stated in the letter from FOS the amount will have interest at 8% per annum simple from the date our loan was redeemed to the date Firstplus pay this compensation.

Firstplus has agreed to their recommendation.

I would also like to add that if I do not hear from you in due course I will be contacting the FOS at the end of June 2008.
I trust that such action would not be necessary and look forward to receiving the information and cheque as requested before this deadline.
I would be most grateful if you could confirm the receipt of this letter by email

    Yours sincerely
This is the final version tweaked by a friend

I am writing to you in regard to our complaint concerning the mis-selling of the single premium Payment Protection Insurance policy.

As you will be fully aware the Financial Ombudsman Service has been involved with our complaint and following their investigation into my complaint you have now agreed to refund us the difference as nearest possible to what we would have been if we had been sold the loan without the PPI policy being mis-sold to us.

As yet I have not received the financial details on the redress as requested by the FOS, so I would like to remind you of this and allow you to rectify this as a matter of urgency.

As stated in the letter from FOS the amount will have interest at 8% per annum simple from the date our loan was redeemed to the date Firstplus pay this compensation. This interest will continue to accrue until you send and I receive payment.

Firstplus has agreed to their recommendation.

I would also like to add that if I do not hear from you in due course and at the latest by the end of this calender month I will be contacting the FOS at the end of June 2008.

I trust that such action would not be necessary and look forward to receiving the information and cheque as requested before this deadline.

I would be most grateful if you could confirm the receipt of this letter by email.
