Calculator is for Lombard Direct. Their defence is in and they say my calculations are incorrect. Not sure if it is the fact that Martins calculator did not go far enough back so I had to put in a few months worth of payments at the earliest date on the calculator.

May have to drop case as have been foolish as over 5k before Section 69 interest. There are some puzzling items in their defence too, basically saying I have to prove their misrepresentation as they cannot admit or deny what was discussed on the phone.

I've got an excel sheet which you can just enter the details and adapt for your own loan pm your email and will send.

My loan is still active, there is a balance still of 15K, I dont understand what you mean, they wont pay this off for me....I wish !

No you misunderstood you accept their offer and say that the difference between that at your calculated figure is to come of the rest of the loan reducing it by £1200. Ps do you want the sheet with the working out so you print off? You'll have to put in when your payments increased and how much by.

:j Hi, really pleased about your dad and the offer from FF. Well done
The solicitors were certainly busy on Friday. He offered me £2000 and then had to ring FF to see if they would up their offer. When he rang back literally, 10 mins later he said that there is a strong possibility of me losing and to save Freedom Finance incurring any more costs, with getting witness statements???? they were offering me 70% of my claim as that is what most court claims award, according to the solicitor? Is that true? I was under the impression that if you won, you received the full amount and court costs plus interest at 8%?
Anyway, the new offer from Freedom Finance is £3200 which he was desperate for me to accept. I said I would think about it.
However, Monday 9th June is the deadline for both parties to give to the court the evidence etc that they will be relying on in Court. The court date is July 1st. So I am going to wait till 9th June to see what comes through the post from the solicitors.
With me it is a matter of principal, that these companies are getting away with ripping people off.
I hope I don't lose, otherwise I'll have to take out another loan to pay the costs! he! He!:rotfl:
    We'll see what happens.

This is so good about the Freedom Finance things. I will have to have guidance from you (and Kaia and Mcolak of course) as to my claim with them although i have yet to receive my SAR from them. They told me that i had to deal with Bespoke Finance in Gibraltar whom i have never heard of. I feel now its time to go down the route both you Kaia too. Good luck and well done:j

Also was this offer with interest or without.

Sorry marshallka that it didn't work with the FOS. Sometimes going down the court route is the only way these clowns will learn.

Where do i start M colak. They are saying i have to deal with Gibraltar don't forget. I have not received my SAR from them yet but am expecting it soon although i don't think there will be much just like with Kaia.

I thought it was best to wait until the FOS have done this thing about settlement and sent me a reply which probably will be "sorry cannot help" (although i feel they should help - thats what they are there for). I am just frustrated as i want to know either way asap from them.

I told you its rubbish just because they say that don't believe it. They sold the loan and relevant PPI (or brokered it) this means that they are responsible under the credit consumer act 1967 ch 8 art 15 (i think thats the location its on the thread where i posted it).
