Laini, this was my letter about FIRSTPLUS that i have today sent in to the FOS. Do you think its too much for the FOS and he may throw it out. I have already sent in my complaint and other forms but they have not had a chance to look yet but this is extra info for them and some waffling again about my original arguments. I have this time quoted actual extracts from the OFT and acts etc. Do you really think i stand a chance.

this is what some one said to me (on another site) when I started to have doubts the week before our letter to say we had been successful

the FOS will NOT defend firstplus, their terms and conditions are hurrendous...

First Plus already know this, i doubt very much they have ever had a complaint defended for them by the FOS...

Add these to your complaints if they arent there already

    the policy is expensive
    the rebate is unfair
even with the cash back the policy still costs more over the term than the original premium
if you make a partial settlement you will have less life cover despite paying the premium up front

give the FOS a chance to look into your complaint now -its a waiting game now you have done your best.

The one thing that everone should remember is that the companies want you too give in, as its in their best interest. So if they draw the process out, make you stressed so you make a mistake or just give in, then they win. Come on here get some MSE hugs then get back on the horse and kick the bad guys out of town. Thats what this site is for. If you want to have a vent then just do it. Don't bottle it up as it isn't worth make yourself ill or worse. Remember its your money not theirs and keep telling yourself this and you will succed i guarentee it.

Thanks m colak really appreciate it,everyone on here is a great!!!!:A

Laini, just read your pm and i have already let the FOS have the final response etc from Firstplus. This letter today is because i had sent a letter to Firstplus myself the other week about this SIN payment and received a response on Saturday. I have then outlined all my original complaint in one single letter. The FOS said to me today to first ring Firstplus about the letter i had received and if i had no joy then to send it in with a covering letter and this would be added to my case. My covering letter may sound a little angry to some but its definately not anger at the FOS. I just wanted them to know i know my rights and i feel cheated by Firstplus. I hope they do not read it as anger at them. I read it as outlining my original complaint. I may actually send a copy of this to Firstplus as well and see what happens. They may well look at the case again although i doubt it. A final response is a final response isn't it or could they change this.

(ps. i wrote that letter 2 hours after having sedation and pethadine mixture and a colonoscopy done this morning so i really should of been chilled to the bones - lol - god help them if i was my normal self)

I wish tiggrae would have a look and see what she thinks.

I would send a copy to FP of the letter you sent to FOS
maybe send a covering letter with the result of their typing error enclosing a copy of the letter the girl at FP and highlight the mistake got wrong.to FOS and FP

hope you are feeling ok - sorry to hear you are having to go cope with other things.

I would send personal life details to FOS stating this is stressing you out and having to cope with other things in your life you may get fast tracked.
Why not Pm the letter to Tiggrae see what she says

    Hi,

the answer is yes as its well within the six year period for reclaiming. Have you managed to get a copy of the original terms and conditions to confirm he would have been covered if self employed because a lot of the loans had that exemption clause.
