What happens if they pay the ppi back into the loan? Is this classed as being fair? I have had this happen to me where they have just cancelled the PPi, (when I was consolidating) and then took it of the final figure.0 -
My OH signed up for a flexible loan (basically turns out to be a credit card) in the local HFC branch (household)
He paid off a small loan he had with them. Much later on i noticed that PPI payments were added to statements. The agreement does say on it that PPI is added, the box has a typed X and where it talks about PPI there is a branch stamp mark over the top of the writing.
I have sent them a first letter complaining and just had one back saying that PPI was not a condition and the loan is not a single premium and could be cancelled at any time. We were sent statements which showed PPI on it. That it would have been discussed at time of sale re exclusions and cancellation rights. It is their final response“most people give up just as they are about to achieve success”If you think you are going through hell keep going - Sir Winston ChurchillIf You Can't Change It, Change the Way You Think About It.SW, 13st5lb, -4 1/2, -1,(12st13.5lbs)0 -

Three years ago we were told by our mortgage advisor that we needed to take out ppi to secure our re-morgage. I wrote to Paymentshield, the policy holders, to complain who then wrote to our mortgage advisor who investigaget themselves
They wrote back saying as Paymentshield was not registered at the time the policy was taken out, the FSA would not hold up a complaint. I proved them wrong as they were registered and wrote back to Paymentshield using Martins 2nd templet letter. I have recieved a reply back this morning saying I had to go back to the mortgage advisor, as they sold the policy to us but they are not the ones I've paid 46 pound a month to for the last three years. I also asked Paymentshield for a copy of a form proving I'd said we hadn't been to the doctors in the 12 months prior to taking out the policy. My husband suffers from a life threatening blood disorder and no way would we have said no to the doctor question. Paymentshield have sent a copy of an electronic application with no signature from us.
Should I go straight to the Financial Ombudsman? Any advise would be greatfully welcome.0 -

Hello everyone i hope everyone is well and doing well in their reclaims. A bit of information which has come my way recently which i don't think people are aware of is:
Banks no longer have to attend the court to defend the case they can instead, as in my case, defend the case via a telephone conference between the plaintiff and defendant. I have my case on the 1st of may and it will be a three way tele conference between judge, me and HBOS. This now takes away the old route we had that banks wouldn't attend the courts to defend the case. So as a little warning to everyone make sure that you case is absolutely water tight before going down the court route now.0 -

Hi all
I have posted on here regrading HFC bank before, but my mum has now offerd me the money to make a small claim against them, they are still not having anyhting that they owe us around £7000-8000 from single premium PPI, we had 3 loans all in all with them, and we always paid them within about 1-2yrs, but never got refunded the PPI. What i am asking is should i take this to court, and if so how do i calculate how much they actually owe us? any help would be great thanks0
