I do find it difficult, very difficult and have since this thread started:eek: . I am passionate about it but also it is an addiction too. I get ill from it sometimes and do not rest up. Things are moving now with ours and I just cannot settle as this money back means so much like most people on here and I know just what stress money worries can cause. We all have problems, lots of different problems and we all need it NOW... I cannot settle to watch anything on the the TV and I know its bad but hey, so is the stress of thinking about and doing nothing about it. If I don't win with Firstplus then I know I will be so angry here. It seems like forever but only been since April that I started all this up. I just want to be able to write back to them "sorry this is not the outcome you were wanting" and then perhaps little bits of my life will come floating back. I feel like we have been in a bottomless pit since then.

Yes hun I know exactly what you mean and how you feel.
Then you read the same thing has happened with others, and want to help them too, because you know how they are feeling about this and getting ripped off big time with all that money.

And I know its hard to settle until you get your money back, I was most frustrated with Nemo last year, they were very hard work, and I am hoping I will not have action replay of another 14 months with others !

Yep your right, we all need our money, even more so now since the Credit Crunch as it affects us all !
And with Christmas coming of course......

  • Right then, template letter done, I am asking for a refund of all PPI premiums paid as I believe I was mis sold the policy on the grounds of paying a single premium policy but did not see it through to the end of it's initial term after paying it back earlier than planned in March 2008, and also I believe I was not given the correct information from the salesperson on the phone when the policy was sold to me as he did not give me full info on what the policy did and did not cover and that the loan only covered the first 5 years of the loan term, and that I was only fully covered by the policy and my husband was not covered at all when I was led to believe we were both equally entitled to the insurance cover.

I have asked for a full refund of all premiums and subsequent interest on these payments and also 8% statutory interest to be added.(this then should be £4384.60 which was the PPI policy amount, the interest that was added on at the start was £5048.12 and the rebate I was given on settling the loan in March was £1054.04, so any ideas what I should be looking at as I am totally lost?)

I have asked for a response within 8 weeks

does this sound ok?, I have never done anything like this before!

I am sending the letter recorded delivery tomorrow

Right I need the loan amount without interest, the PPI without interest, the date of the loan and the amount of repayments and also how many payments you made and how much the rebate against the insurance was. Also how many payments you would have made too. I can then have a go for you.

    Hi
Well done, glad you got the letter sorted.;)

Marshallka will more than likely confirm your expected amount due back, although with mine I did not add an amount and still refunded the whole lot back plus interest.
I added that I expect them to pay me the "full amount" to be put back into the position if I did not have the PPI plus the stat interest etc and that is what they did pay back.

Good luck hun, hope you win this back first time round.:T

    Di.
