Is This A Scam???

I'm not sure what is going on here and I would not have bought but there is not much you can do just yet especially as you have paid. He could be legit but I doubt it, you will have to sweat this out and have your claim (chargeback) ready to go, but interesting that he has sold a fair few this weekend (bank holiday).0

Still getting my head around eBaybut you didn't think you'd get the £50 overpayment back ... but you have ... so maybe if you inform Paypal that you have ... it might make the seller think he should send the phone too?
As I said though , I'm not fully informed about eBay and all of its sellers ... but worth waiting a few days for this one maybe?0 -
Personally I would allow 7 days for the phone to arrive, then file a complaint with Paypal (I think you have to wait a few days anyway to give the seller a chance to send it).
However, did you not check the feedback before bidding? Even though it says their feedback is private, it still shows you that they have had 4 negatives in the last month... that alone would put me off bidding! Also, I would guess the only reason people would want to make their feedback private, is to cover up something they don't want potential buyers to know...
Unfortunately there are some unscrupulous sellers on Ebay, I have been stung a couple of times over the 3 years I've been buying on Ebay. It shouldn't be a problem to get your money refunded if the item doesn't arrive... but I know how annoying it can be! :mad:0 -

Their other items for sale also seem to good to be true. But he does have good feed back?0 -
How do you know he has good feedback when you can't read it? A percentage is pointless - you need to know what the dates were of the transactions, because I imagine it's quite possible a seller will "go bad" and one recent negative as a result of this can outweigh hundreds of positives on earlier transactions.Time is an illusion - lunch time doubly so.0

Obviously there is no way of knowing what the feedback was like when the OP originally bid, but looking at it now it is appalling, 97.8%. As others have said private feedback usually hides something.
My guess on this, and it is just a guess, is that this is a hijacked account. The feedback was hidden as it showed it was a buying account or maybe a seller selling small items, then suddenly wham, they have multiples of phones and other things to sell.
No way would i have bid.
Seller has changed his id 4 times which confuses me as that doesn't fit in with my hihacked theory.
It might be worth phoning paypal, I don't think they are based in the Uk so may be open today. I don't honestly know if they can put a stop on the money but it has to be worth a try. The other thing I would consider is, if paid using credit card via paypal, asking the CC company to put a hold on the funds. Again, I don't know if this will work.

Can you not contact one of his customers, to see if they have received any of his items?
Or are you not allowed to do that?0 -
