Here's me making up my own mind, they have my money, don't answer emails either from their own webage or via the posted email address. they have not enabled my access to my "account" and I cannot reset my password. They did not aknowledge the order, I will be instructing my bank to get the money back from Dealtastic as they are clearly Scammers.
Dear Blaggard,
My name is Kevin, I am the affiliate Manager for Dealtastic, I oversee all our Internet Activity and marketing. I joined the company In October of this year, just after we launched our site. I can 100% confirm that we are not "scammers"..And that we take our jobs and customer service very highly. We are aware because our site is very new we have had a few teething problems, which is regrettable, but to be excepted. If you have contacted our customer services team, but are still yet to have a response, I can only apologise, and in the meantime, please feel free to send me a private message and I will personally chase this and get you a response within the hour, as this is not our normal level of customer service, and I would like to look at to why this has happened. Rest assured I will confirm your order as soon as you contact me.
I am also aware of the comments raised on this site, and again, as I have said on other sites, we are working very hard to provide a quality website and value all constructive feedback. We will always look to improve and listen to our customers to provide a better service..I also note some comments about our MD and a couple of former websites that he sold earlier this year, again I can post the legal statement from his lawyer and offer my services to chat to any customer who has any comments concerns or questions..
Regards
Kevin

Mr Pamplin,
If you could explain just one thing.
Do you think it was correct to add former Zoombits/Memorybits email addresses to dealtastics' email marketing list, without their permission?0 -

Hi there,
I have sent you a private matter regarding your off topic comments regarding your matter that you feel very strongly about.
Again I will state very clearly that we are a hard working team working long hours to provide a website we are very proud of..We are very excited about the growth and warm responses from our customers, we and myself understand that we have had some teething problems and somethings we can apoligise for.
However in the meantime I will post our MD's legal statement regarding those former sites -
I WOULD LIKE TO SET THE RECORD STRAIGHT THAT JONATHAN RUFF OR HENRIETTA RUFF SOLD THE MENTIONED COMPANIES ON THE 1ST FEB 2010 AND SINCE THIS DATE HAVE HAD NO PART IN THE COMPANY OR HOLD ANY SHAREHOLDING.
KIND REGARDS
JONATHAN RUFF
MD Dealtastic
Again as I mentioned in my private message if you would like to discuss anything not related to the message thread I am more than happy to discuss or look into any matter raised.
Warm Regards

Never asked about ownership, just a simple marketing question
"Do you think it was correct to add former Zoombits/Memorybits email addresses to dealtastics' email marketing list, without their permission?"
btw its against forum rules for company rep's to send pm's0 -
@Dealtastic, PM'd as suggested.0

Updating as promised, no reply from Dealtastic on here (I did not PM until 10.30pm yesterday) but this morning I tried once more to access my account on the website and THIS TIME my password change request was instant. My account is showing the order as shipped, we'll see. My suggestion to you Dealtastic is invest in a telephone support system, this is one of the few occasions I have used a company without one and an aberration, I won't again. I don't know whether the change in my website issue is as a result of intervention or not, benefit of the doubt for now.0

Hi there, apoligies, I am on a days holiday with my children today and have just since checked into my hotel and opened my laptop.
I have sent you a PM as promised, and passed your full complaint and pm you sent me to our customer service manager who I am in constant contact with while I am away from the office.
You should have a swift response to this as well..
Again we are a new site but a totally legit site, we have had a few early tech problems as with any new websites, these have been looked into and fixed as not to happen again. As with all online sites we had to deal with the backlog caused by the snow and weather last week, but we are on track and working around the clock to get customers their orders.
We are a very open company and you can contact myself and others via our facebook and twitter page and of course these forums
Thank you for your time
Regards
Kevin

Clearly you feel that Dealtastic are not compling with UK Email Legislation. Rest asured that Dealtastic follow this legislation as a course of best practise and while I appreciate your concerns/fears I can confirm that, to date, having serviced thousands of customers, there has not been a single complaint concerning our email marketing.
As previously stated, Dealtastic follow best email marketing practises and adhere to the following:

[*]If email addresses are to be used for marketing purposes, this should be clearly stated at the point of collection.[*]
Once informed, the user should be able to refuse permission for their email to be used for marketing purposes (ie opt-out).[*]
If email is to be sent to those with whom a customer relationship exists, the content should be in reference to similar products and services.[*]
If the email addresses are to be shared with third parties, this should be clearly stated at the point of collection.[*]
Email addresses should not be harvested (eg copied from websites) and used for marketing purposes without the recipients' knowledge.[*]
Recipients should be able to refuse permission for further marketing messages to be sent to them at any time.[*]
Your identity as the sender should never be disguised or concealed.[*]
In every communication, recipients must be given a simple and clear means of opting out from receiving future emails.[*]
When an opt-out request is received it must be honoured, with the contact details ideally being "suppressed" rather than deleted.
Furthermore...we are working to the following
1. 3 days after a customer signs up, they receive an email telling them about ways to save money on our site, including using the Refer a Friend.
2. 2 days after a a customer abandons a cart, they receive an email reminding them of their abandoned cart and asking them to come back and complete the order.
3. 13 days after an order is shipped (reaches "Complete" status), a customer receives an email (a) providing them with a discount coupon that can be used on their next purchase and (b) asking them to give a review of the products they purchased. [The extension allows us to choose to include / exclude different customer groups. We do send this email to our frequent buyers, because it means they would receive several requests for reviews every day.]
4. If a customer has no activity on our site for 15 days, they receive an email asking them to come back and check out our new products.
Again we are working very hard and are very proud of the effort and response from our customers, we have a long way to go and will learn from our mistakes, and listen to our customers as all good companys should. We are a very open site, and are willing to listen and engage on constructive feedback via our customer service contact info provided on our site, or our social media sites facebook and twitter..
Regards
Kevin

@dealtastic, further info: I've had a telephone call from your CS dept (I could have listened to her all day, lovely accent!) as I said earlier my pasword change emails did not arrive yet this morning my attempt produced an instant response. The email supplied by me is to my gmail account which is, and was working perfectly. I suspect your email server was at fault on this occasion but I still feel a telephome contact would make a big difference to your ability to grow your company. Many companies operate from the Channel Islands but I'm loathe to use those without a direct telephone contact, you are already up against the potential for extended delivery times and it would be best not to further handicap yourself. You certainly seem to have good prices however so I hope it works out.0
