:j:j mine arrived this morning. First time I've been to Silverstone, any advice on best route (coming from hampshire) (avoid motorways?)..and info on car parking charges for the day
i've had a look online and can't find anything.

I'll ask hubby if to avoid any particular roads andget back to you. I have no idea as I'm just a passenger and I take no notice at all of where I am going :D

    Car parking is free.

Got our tickets today but still no mention of what ages they cover. Does anyone who's been before know if you can get young children in without tickets? We'd like to take two adults and four children. As we've only got four tickets I was hoping the 5 and 2 year olds are too young to need tickets.

I really have no idea whether kids need tickets or not. In the back of my mind is a niggle that they don't but please don't take it as gospel!

On this thread http://forums.moneysavingexpert.com/showthread.html?t=901957&page=4 someone is offering tickets as they now can't go. Might be worth taking a couple off their hands incase you need them. Post # 62 btw.

Or is there somewhere on the site the tickets came from to e-mail and ask about kids?

Thanks Shelly and MikeJ. I'll take them along and hope for the best. Strange there are no contact details on the website or tickets. I suppose they don't want to be swamped with emails. After all it is free:j

Just a quick look on Silverstone's website I found this http://www.silverstone.co.uk/php/ci_overview.html
Maybe you have to go direct to the circuit for info and not through Renault? There's a couple of phone numbers and an e-mail addy or two.

I'd hate for you to go then have to leave as the kids need a ticket :o
