Its were someone (the seller with another ID ) bids in order to get the bid higher. If you search here for shill bidding there will be a few entries!!
  • Well it looks like our shill bidder did really well ... see here

It seems our seller only recently bought some of these items

Take Christmas Rudolf bought on the 24th July for £310.01

Seller has now sold to Shiller for guess how much .... here

I can't work this one out - what is he gaining by winning his own auctions with his shill account?

That's why i wondered if this was actually shilling...The whole point is *not* to win the auction.

But on the other hand, who, in their right mind would buy an item for £310 in July and resell it in August with a starting price of £1.00???

Very confusing this one, not sure it is a shiller but selling price in August of £310 is TOO coincidental!!

What ever is / was going on it was very interesting.

Being a collector of Bad Taste Bears and knowing the product / price I think he listed them very very badly and I think both panicked and got greedy at the same time.

Not many people saw the listings and those that did were scared off by what was going on.

Can report seller & shill buyer have been suspended.

I reported them and got en email this morning from ebay saying:
