I would think they are both yesterdays technology. What about one of these overhead projectors. They are a lot better now. You can get remote control motorised screens that drop down. 60" or 90" is quite common.0

The 37" LCD is true High Def ready, look at Sky's HD site for more info.
I suspect you need to look into HDTV a little more the chap above is right
HDTV is 1,080 scan lines x 1,920 pixels/line this is the main thing you need to look for.
I have a plasma and its 852X480 it can do 1080i but it isnt true HDTV its like fake HDTV is sqishes the picture down to a size it can cope with.
Progressive and Interlaced have nothing to do with HDTV although Progressive does make the picture look better.

I first had a Samsung 32"LCD that I got in April. However it was faulty so I got my money back. After alot of looking around I settled on a Samsung 42" Plasma (Samsung PS42S5HX) from PRC direct

I have been chuffed with this set since getting it in July and going up in size from 32" to 42" has been a good decision.
If you are still undecided and may still want a CRT set have a look at this slimline model also from Samsung. I have seen one in Currys and looks good for the money.
