I think fimonkey means that the form asks for the account number of the new ISA which has not yet been set up. ie the account which will be set up when the form is processed. How can you enter an account number for an account you haven't yet applied for?

That's what I said: "they can hardly transfer an ISA which doesn't exist (i.e. have a an account number)". If it hasn't yet been set up and given an account number, it effectively doesn't exist.......:rolleyes:

The money may have been paid into the NS&I ISA but the account number has not been issued so how can either the old provider or new provider know which account they are being asked to transfer?
