Voice dialling on S/Ericsson W800i.

Hi.

I have a good working hand me down Sony Ericsson W800i phone from my Daughter.

As I use the car quite a lot with work I normally use mobiles with voice dialling using a bluetooth headset. You press a button on the earpiece and say the persons name you wish to call.

Problem is this, the model I have has basic instructions on how to use the phone mainly for the music side of the phone which I have no interest at all.
All the functions I do need are on this phone but no instructions on how to set these up and help is required.

After going to settings/general/voice control/voice dialling, I have two choices - activate and edit names. I have pressed on activate and the menu reads "no commands recorded - record now?" I press on yes and "new voice" appears on screen. I click on "add" as this is the only option available and get a message "no info available"

How do I record the command to have the phone dial the number required please?

to record a voice command:
1. Enter the PHONEBOOK.
2. Scroll to EDIT CONTACT, press “Yes”.
3. Find the name whose phone number you want add voice command to.
4. Scroll to EDIT VOICE, press “Yes”
5. ADD VOICE COMMAND, press “Yes”
6.7. You have now added a voice command

Yes I do have the manual but only the basic one that came with the phone.
I did look on the Sony site and saw the two downloads but thought these were one of the same. DOH!!!

The reason that I cannot leave a voice command is the phone is set on the sim card contacts and not the phone contacts.

I will now have to look up and see how to transfer my sim contacts onto the phones internal memory. Some editing I think is now the order as all my Daughters contact are on the phones contact list.
