Anyone opened B&B eISA yet?

Has anyone opened a Bradford & Bingley eISA successfully this tax year?

Its the one paying 6.25% fixed and available over the net.

I filled in my application and sent the cheque off at the start of the new tax year - heard nothing yet. How long should I wait before I phone them up and ask when I can expect it to be opened?

Applied for mine online on 10/04/08 and sent the cheque off on 14/04/08...

I'll keep you guys updated with my application, fingers crossed

Of course a new application may be faster than an internal transfer, however crazy it sounds

Finally saw my new account on the net today - but nothing arrived in the post yet.

Looks like about 7 days before they started processing my cheque - and another 7 before I could access the account.

My money was taken out on the 21st Apr... No letter, no account details.

How do you know your accound details edda?

I applied on the 6th April and sent the cheque on the 7th which cleared on the 16th April. I already have an internet saver account with them, and saw that it appeared on 23rd April, with the account opening date shown as 14th April. Nothing received by post.

I already had a login id with the B&B and so have just been going in every few days to check whether the account is open.

I'm guessing that I will receive some confirmation by post - but not sure if this will be the case.

But my money went out of my account on 17th April and I didn't see the account appear online until a week later (back dated to 15th for the opening date).

Just rang B&B...

So to summerise:

10/04/08 - applied for mine online
14/04/08 - sent the cheque
16/04/08 - cheque received
17/04/08 - earning interest from this day forward
22/04/08 - welcome pack sent
28/04/08 - still no welcome pack, called them on 0845 601 7802 to get a user ID for their site and to reprint another welcome pack

My B&B is vacant (no pun intended): how on earth they do any business is beyond me...
