Fantastic news! I'm really pleased for you. No news for us yet.

Great news!
I agree, the wider issues over what has happened should be looked at overall, it shouldn't be left for individuals to jump through hoops, after all we only want exactly what they were sold!!0 -
Hurrah!
Still waiting - though quite hopeful, as identical criteria to Karanda.
170,000 OA customers - wonder how many still left from 1999-2001?
Oh, to take out a full page add in a national paper!0 -
Isn't Mr Lewis a journalist? Isn't this a worthwhile "story"?
How to attract his attention and brief him re this, I wonder?
The FSA appears uninterested despite my reporting it to them, and they are the only regulator who can investigate and rule on such "across the board" infirngement of regulations (Treating Customer Fairly, and products performing as sold/expected). Shame the FOS has no remit to do generic complaints, only individual ones.0 -
Hi Karanda, and congrats,
Did you have any facility change or move house during your time with one account? edit.. just read your post again!
I guess at the moment i am the only one here with a FoS case pending who has moved house since opening an account, and that decision is still yet to be determined..0 -
Karanda - have sent you a pm0

Ok - don't want to say to much in open forum, but it would appear that inconsistencies are appearing with regards whether the facility change resets the terms and conditions.
Karanda has a ruling that say they do not, but I have received a letter saying that they do. Have protested strongly and am awaiting a response.
I know several others are waiting on the same decision - have you heard anything?0 -
Great news Karanda.
It is a real shame if not crime that so many other customers will not benefit from the same judgement: RBS should honour their promises.
munkypuzzel - you're not the only one. I also changed facility & moved house since opening my account.
I am still waiting for the FOS.............0 -
I have received a settlement offer from RBS agreeing to operate the account as a tracker against the BOE base rate, plus £250 compensation which i have accepted. I had zero documentary evidence so can only assume that it was settled on the basis of evidence supplied by someone else who is a better keeper of records than me. I opened my account in June 2001 and asserted that their sales pitch was as a BOE tracker and that they have breached a verbal contract. This suggests to me that they must be settling claims that relate to a specific period of time, anyone later than June 2001? I have not requested any changes to my facility and i havent moved house in the interim.0
