Thanks so much for all your help so far TonyLisa.

My new computer is so totally different from any other I have seen, it is so complicated that I can't even find system or device manager or phone and modem options. I spent an hour just to find the control panel!! Now I am not a stupid person and have been using computers, self taught, for 10 years now, but I feel like a complete idiot. The computer I have is so easy and would not have bought another one except for the fact that it is Windows 98. In fact my new PC is showing a message "RGB-no input signal" and I have started a new thread to find out what this is!! That message came as soon as I set it up.
It looks like I am going to have to PAY someone to come and look at it.
    Just to say thanks.
This paying for something that must be so simple really goes against the grain of the MSE code.

Right click on your start button and select properties, under the start menu tab select classic start menu and hit ok.
This will setup the PC with an interface that you are more used to.
When you go into the control panel you can do the same thing, there is a menu on the left hand side that you can select classic menu from.

If you set up dial up with aol youll have to open the vista folder on the CD and not the defualt xp folder and located within the folder is the proper .exe file, well thats how it used to be.
