tried to be clever and hide my phone from kids.
placed it in pan on rack, forgot that OH had placed water melon on rack above earlier.
anyway, unknown to me pan had water melon water in it, so my phone had a water melon bath.
tried to hair dry it and other methods, but still not working.
so need another phone.
have searched a few sites but not come across anything.
anyone know of any recon/refurb phones?
thanks, would prefer a nokia.

to make matters worse , have also misplaced contract sim, will have to turn bedroom inside out to find it. i tend to forget where i have put things, although i always intend to put them in a 'safe' place.
just that its so safe that even i cannot remember where it is.
Nice to save.

Ring the network to get a new sim....check the networks online to see what deals are available as already mentione a few of the do refurb, Orange sometimes do some silly deals as well (anyone remember the Nokia 3510i deal in January for £9.99) so worth checking their site, had the Motorola V3 there recently on a PAYT for £149.99

OK contact the network for example Orange you just pay a small fee and they can give you a new handset. In two ways one is just a replacement cost about £75. Or Other way is pay for emergency Orange care. Cost £25 and than you sign up for 12 months to Orange care. The second option there are companies who can repair water damage for example the mobile shop in the city centre of Swansea can and charge about £10. There are online companies who you can post it to. But if you want you can post it to me and I can take it to that place and than forward it back to you. But it does not always work but it is the cheapest way.
