That's a bit of a bummer - but as you said, you haven't bought anywhere else yet, so no rush. We might have got more if we'd held out for more veiwings - but we're happy with 10% over the O/O price - and I don't have to stress out about the place not being sold now - and I don't have to show any more viewers round! My dh is going away tomorrow for almost 6 weeks. I have power of attorney for him - so I can go ahead and sign things on his behalf.0

An update - sold my flat in 3 weeks with a closing date. Highest offer was 30% over o/o price...bonkers! Since then I've lost out on a closing on a house that went for a similar crazy price over o/o. So the first quarter downturn in Aberdeen appears to be picking up. Conversely, I'd also say there are more fixed price properties on the aspc than before!! Go figure!

Well done! Do you have a date you have to be out by? We're moving in just over 4 weeks. It's creeping up really fast!0

I dont have to be out till August. My buyers had just renewed a lease on their rented flat and so were looking for a long entry date.
I had an offer for a house accepted this week (25% over o/o) and the sellers are happy with an August entry date so everything is out working out fine (touch wood!!) :j
August seems like aaaaaaagggggeeesss away but I'm sure it will come around quick! Your 4 weeks will be here before you know it. Good luck with the packing and chucking out!

We just had a few valuations done on our house as we are considering moving closer to the school,we are a 30 min walk away and I am not good at getting there on time in the mornings. The average was 200K which is alot more than we were expecting and up on a couple of years ago by about 60K.We thought that going by the area values lately and the fact that lots of sellers were dropping their prices we would be lucky to have a valuation in line with the one we had a few years ago but I guess if the individual house is special it will do well even in a stormy market.
We have decided not to sell anyway but the valuations were a very pleasant surprise."Reaching out to touch the stars dont forget the flowers at your feet".0
