o2 shops have currently got a bank holiday weekend special:

buy or upgrade any contract phone and get a free portable dvd player

buy or upgrade to a samsung contract phone and get a photo printer for £49.99

just walked out after upgrading two phones with two free dvd players, two new phones, photo printer and sat nav for under £150.00

terms and conditions apply but they didn't seem to be adhering to them when I was in there.

box is branded o2, actual player is unmarked except for jdp540 which shows as being made by prusman, 5" screen, region 2.

very good little player, brilliant screen quality with audio, s and video inputs/outputs, rechargable battery pack, cigarette adapter and headphones.

Although this offer sounds good. You have a hard job getting it. I have upgraded my phone today or rather I haven't as it isn't in stock so they are ordering it in for me. Although I have ordered a phone I didin't qualify for this offer first of all they tried telling me that it was because I have an online tariff I challenged this and then they said it was open for all tariffs above o2 200. When I asked if I could have it as have upgraded my phone they said no as it isn't in stock and its on order.

Thats a bit like me seeing something on the net for half price then buying it at half price but as I dont actually *recieve* the item for a few days them charging me full price as the sale has ended. My point being this doesnt happen online even if your order it when the sale is on and get it when the sale finishes you still get the item for sale price. Why should o2 be any different ?

So I'm not a happy bunny as we made a special trip up there because of the offer.
