Will I be paid interest when I close my ISA?

If I open an Alliance and Leicester 6.25% ISA, and transfer to another provider and close my ISA in April next year, will I be paid any interest accumulated after January the 1st, considering they pay interest annually?

Interest is accrued daily, therfore you will be paid for each day until transfer or closure.

Yes you would be paid interest upto the date your ISA is closed.

So there should be no problem transferring my rbs isa into this one, adding 3.6k, and then transferring to a new one next april?

Do banks charge for transferring ISA's or money from a current account into an isa with another provider?

Yes, there should be no problem, and no, they don't normally charge.

If interest is added to my isa account, does that count as a contribution? With regards to the statement "I also confirm that I have not contributed to another Cash ISA in the same tax year that I subscribe to this Cash ISA."

No - the statement is a declaration which is designed to deter you from opening & paying new money into more than one Cash ISA in the same tax year.

Wow, the ISA has been opened in less than 7 hours from the application being sent off. It took over a week to open one with rbs!
